Rather than paying a yearly or monthly fee for our College Office online service, you can choose to license our software, install it on your server, and run your own College Office online service. When you license our software you just pay a one time fee to purchase the license, there are no required recurring fees no matter how many students are in the system. This option makes financial sense for institutions which have large student populations and IT expertise at hand.
Note that one installation of College Office Web Connect can be used to manage more than one institution.
System Requirements
In order to run College Office Web Connect on your own server you need:
- A computer meeting Microsoft recommendations for Windows 2003 Server
- Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Operating System or higher (Web Server Edition or highe)
- Microsoft Internet Information Services 6 or higher (comes with Windows 2003)
- 512 to 1024 MB of memory, 40GB hardrive (RAID 1 configuration recommended).
- A secure SSL certificate
- A firewall appliance
- A high speed connection to the internet with a fixed IP address
